Tanda Tula Day 5

A Fresh Kill. The lion pride we had tracked all week brought out the “Dexter” in us as we documented them devouring a giraffe in less than a day.  Others waited their turn i.e. vultures and a hyena. Again your longer lens will assist in getting the expressions on the animals’ faces. We were only 20 feet away from the feeding.

The action continued as we came upon three female rhinos running away from the amorous  advances of a bull. He followed them undeterred. We had to shoot with the 40o mm since we were a couple of hundred feet away.

Later we tracked a large male leopard surveying his territory. He easily weighed 250 lbs…not that we weighed him of course. We got very close.
